How much does it cost me to sell with Groove Gal Auctions

You pay a Listing Fee and a Final Value Fee (this is our commission and is based on the final selling price). The Final Value Fee is taken out of the payment from the buyer when your item is sold. For more about our fees and services, click here.        Top

What is a Starting Price?        Top

The starting price (opening value) is the lowest price at which you are willing to sell your item (unless you also specify a reserve price). Bidding starts at this price. We can help you determine a reasonable starting price.

What is a Reserve Price?        Top

A reserve price (or reserve) is the lowest price you are willing accept for your item. If a bidder does not meet that price, you're not obligated to sell your item. You set your reserve price, as well as a starting price, when we list your item. The reserve price is not disclosed to bidders, but they will be told that your auction has a reserve price and whether or not the reserve has been met.

A Reserve Price can not be used for Multiple Item Auctions (Dutch Auctions).

What is Final Sale Price and Final Value Fee?        Top

The Final Sale Price (final value or closing value) of your item(s) is the final winning bid (the price the buyer paid for the item).

The Final Value Fee based on the Final Sale Price is our commission. If the item doesn’t sell, there is no fee. The Final Value Fee is taken out of the payment from the buyer. For more about our fees and service, click here.

I have five identical items. Can I sell these with one listing?

Yes. You can set all five items as a lot for one price. You can also sell the items individually. When you see a auction-type listing offering two or more identical items, this is called a Multiple Item Auction (also know as a Dutch Auction). This means the seller is offering multiple, identical items for sale. Unlike a regular eBay auction, Multiple Item Auctions can have many winners.

Can I sell jewelry, precious metals, coins and stamps?

Yes. There are certain eBay policies and listing guidelines for jewelry and precious metals. As your agent we ensure listing is in compliance. Bring the item in with original packaging, Gem Certification, diamond certificate, appraisals or any other documentation. It is especially important you do not remove an item from an appraiser’s packaging or break the seal. For, example a coin appraised by PCGS (Professional Coin Grading Service) should not be removed from the package or set if you want to use the appraisal for your listing.        Top

I want to sell a FoosBall table. Should I take it apart and bring it in?

For large items, please call us first for personalized attention. We will work hard to accommodate your needs. We may come to your home or place of business to examine the item, take pictures and make out an auction contract. We may be able to sell the item, without disassembly and without you having to bring the item to us. In such cases, Groove Gal Auctions will coordinate pick-up or shipping schedule with you and the buyer. Home and place of business examination is limited to Conroe, Spring, Willis and The Woodlands. Not in one of these areas? Feel free to contact us to see if we can accommodate you.         Top

Does Groove Gal Auctions appraise things like jewelry, precious metals, coins and stamps?

No. We research the item to determine what it or similar items are selling for. We may then suggest a starting or reserve price to you based on our research. We may suggest you have certain items professionally appraised.
